Learn about this stylish if noisy keyboard and its questionably-related sibling in my first sponsored review.
Hotbed of accidental innovation or trival waste of time? Either way, I'm having a blast.
Take a short look at how I fell down the rabbit hole.

Take a look at some of my favorite kit-bashed combinations, and learn how to mix them up yourself.
Latest builds:
Another, earlier, easier silent 60% build - this time, the keeb is all about gaming - and the build is all about the switches.
Not too unlike an old pickup or t-square, sometimes you just need something simple and solid to get the job done - a nice bonus if it suits your personality, too.
A 60% build that I thought from the outset would be my most straightforward and standard project yet. So very wrong I was…

• Final Fantasy:
Easily my most unconventional project so far - and for a build that didn’t involve lubing a single switch, incredibly time-consuming. Worth it? Absolutely.
About this site:
This is switchbox.studio - a home for all my ramblings about keyboards, switches, and adjacent topics. In the near future, you'll also find things like keeb-related merch, and maybe even some videos.
Who am I, anyway? You can find most of my applicable contributions thus-far on keebtalk, under the username Deadeye - you can call me Dave, if you like. I got into the hobby basically by accident around 2015, when I purchased a dome board so bad I had to replace it with something better immediately. Yadda yadda now I build keebs for people and obsess over minute details in switch components.
I love frankenswitches, and am interested in detail-oriented comparisons. Sometimes I find out something useful, and share it with the community - this website grew from a desire to consolidate everything I've been learning into an accessible collection of articles, tutorials, reviews, comparisons, and ramblings. As the site is in its infant stages at the moment, content will be sparse - but there's a lot more on the way.
