Super Short Tactile
Think of this as a high-tactility speed switch.
TL;DR: Very clacky, very short travel.
Kind of like the Holy Dragon or Heisenberg, but “more” when it comes to their defining features.
I don’t have the means to measure it, but this switch has a very short travel for a full-sized mx-compatible; easily the shortest I’ve used. The bump remains synced with actuation despite the short throw, though this does make it all but impossible not to bottom-out.
This snappy snack is even more clacky and short-throw than its Halo-stemmed cousin, making this one of the more unique frankenswitches I’ve tried.
If low wobble is an important factor for you, Gazzew Boba tops can be used to tighten-up the stem tolerance while retaining smoothness. Changing the top also changes the sound; I think it sounds a bit more clean and clacky. On the downside, the leaf isn't held in place as well, meaning you'll need to be conscious of that during installation - and this configuration may not work reliably with some (or any) hot-swap sockets.
The pink Bobagum tops in particular look great with the Dragonfruit bottoms - it's like adding strawberry cream cheese to your pb&j sandwich!
The tighter the socket, the less likely a switch without proper leaf retention is going to work. The leaf wiggles a bit here, but not as much as some other combinations - so if you're interested in using this, I encourage some careful experimentation.
As a closing note, some important practical information. This applies to pretty much any switch with a total throw less than 4mm - especially these: I recommend you check out the video below by Walker's Keyboard Science if you're interested in building with them - it will save you some headache when it comes to the stabs. Basically, you'll want a certain size of washer that fits around the cross-mounts and acts as a raised floor to prevent the cap from teeter-tottering one way or another on the stab mounts. This is also helpful for stabs where clipping significantly reduces the normal resting height of the mounts.
